Tips for more successfull web searches:

There are hundreds of web "search engines" out there for you to use. Sometimes though, finding that bit of information you desire can be quite difficult even with these amazing tools. To help you find exactly what you're looking for more often, follow these simple tips:

Decide whether a categorized or web page search would be best for your topic of interest. Categorized searches can save you the pain of having to sift through unorganized and often innacurately matched web page matches. Unfortunately, sometimes you may not be able to find what you're looking for laid out in plain sight in a categorized search. For these occasions you may want to try direct web page matches.
If you think a categorized search would be accurate for your topic, then visit a categorized search engine such as Yahoo!, or About.
Visit sites like Altavista, Lycos, Excite, Dogpile, or Northern Light for more general searches.
Read the site documentation! On every search engine, you can find a page explaining useful syntaxes to use with the keywords for your search that can improve the correctness of the matches for the keywords returned by that search engine drastically.
